Help collecting official proof of a shop or firm name in Surat for banks, tenders, and licences, using Gumasta, GST, or Udyam records.
When a bank, a tender, or a licence desk in Surat asks for “evidence of firm name”, it wants an official paper that shows the business exists in that name. There is no separate certificate by that title. The paper they accept is usually a Gumasta certificate, a GST registration, an Udyam registration, or the partnership deed.
Bring the letter that used the phrase
The fastest way to avoid the wrong registration is to show us the bank or department letter. If it says shop and establishment, Gumasta is the file. If it says GSTIN, a shop act certificate will not replace it. If the firm is not registered at all, a board photo and a rent agreement are only supporting papers.
Keep one spelling
Choose the spelling you want on the rubber stamp and use it on Gumasta, GST, Udyam, and the bank account. Owners who register “Khan Traders” on one paper and “Khan Trader” on another spend months on corrections. A food business may also need FSSAI in that same name. FSSAI proves you may handle food. It is not a substitute for Gumasta if the bank asked for shop establishment.
